Valverde is a professional endurance driver who competed in IMSA WeatherTech and IMSA Pilot Challenge between 2014 and 2021. He raced for Wright Motorsports and Riley Motorsports in multiclass national championships where graded professionals and amateurs share the grid; in Pilot Challenge, he drove a GT4-level production-based sports car in the GS class.[1]
His indexed record spans three starts across two seasons. In 2015 IMSA WeatherTech he finished 36th in the championship standings. He made one further start in 2021 IMSA Pilot Challenge. His most frequent opponents in these series were Andrew Davis, an entry-level professional whom he typically outfinished, and Bill Auberlen, a more experienced entry-level professional against whom he consistently ran behind. On two occasions he finished ahead of established professionals at the WEC level; he beat Kevin Estre once and Brendon Hartley once.[2]
