Torsten Kratz is a semi-professional endurance racing driver and holds an FIA Bronze grading, which denotes an amateur competing alongside professionals in sportscar and endurance racing. His Racer Rating of 3,687 places him at the semi-professional level; this means he wins in pro-am fields and runs mid-pack among full professionals, beating them occasionally but not consistently. Kratz has spent six seasons in endurance racing from 2019 to 2026, with 22 starts across the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series, and the Nürburgring 24 Hours. He has recorded four podium finishes but no outright wins, averaging a sixth-place classification.[1]
Kratz's head-to-head record against his regular rivals tells a mixed story. Against established professionals such as Michael Jensen (a former champion rated considerably above him) and Nick Adcock, both semi-professionals in their own right, Kratz has finished behind them in the majority of their 11 shared races, winning only three encounters against each. He has fared better against Jean-Baptiste Lahaye and Matthieu Lahaye, particularly the former, winning four races to six losses; and he has held an advantage over Wyatt Brichacek, winning six of nine encounters. Against the strongest drivers he has faced, Kratz has registered isolated strong results: he finished ahead of Matt Campbell, a three-time champion and elite professional, once, and beat Raffaele Marciello, also a three-time champion at the elite level, twice. These remain notable exceptions rather than patterns in an otherwise mid-field career.[2]
Kratz's primary racing platform has been WTM by Rinaldi Racing, which accounts for 17 of his 22 starts across the European Le Mans Series and Asian Le Mans Series. The team itself has not recorded a race win across its entire indexed history and has fielded eight drivers; its strongest competitor, Nicolás Varrone, is rated as an established professional. Kratz remains active in endurance racing as of 2026.
