Filipe Albuquerque is an established professional racing driver, FIA Platinum graded, competing in international prototype endurance racing. He drives the Cadillac V-Series.R for Wayne Taylor Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the World Endurance Championship, where he has been a regular since 2014. His record across these two series spans 129 starts, 21 wins and 47 podiums.[1]

Albuquerque won the 2006 Formula Renault Eurocup as a solo-seater driver in his second indexed season and spent three years racing single-seaters before moving to endurance racing in 2014. In IMSA, he has won four times in the prototype classes; in the WEC he has won eight times. He won the IMSA WeatherTech championship in both 2021 and 2022, sharing the Konica Minolta Acura ARX-05. His career has seen him finish ahead of elite professionals including five-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou and 2024 Formula E champion Pascal Wehrlein in shared-car racing, though shared-class endurance fields place drivers of widely varying levels on the same grid. Currently in the 2026 WEC season, Albuquerque sits 20th in the championship standings after one round raced so far.[2]

In August 2026, Albuquerque secured a victory at Road America, a race that had long eluded both him and the team.
