Valentino Rossi is an Italian racing driver best known for his motorcycle road racing career, during which he won nine Grand Prix World Championships, seven of them in the premier 500cc/MotoGP class. Widely regarded as one of the greatest riders in the history of the sport, he became the only competitor to start 400 or more Grands Prix, and he holds the all-time records for premier class victories and podiums, with 89 wins and 199 podium finishes. Following his retirement from motorcycle racing, Rossi transitioned to car racing, moving into GT competition and building a new career on four wheels.[1]
