🇫🇷 Aurelien Panis

Aurélien Panis is an established professional racing driver, FIA Silver graded, competing in GT World Challenge Europe for GetSpeed Team Bartone Bros. He has raced single-seater championships in his earlier career, including Formula Renault Eurocup and Formula V8 3.5, before moving into sportscar and endurance racing.[1]

Panis has completed 15 seasons of racing across 217 starts since 2012. He won once in Formula V8 3.5 and once in Formula Renault Eurocup, taking three podiums in the former and two in the latter. His move into touring cars saw him take one podium in 60 starts across the FIA World Touring Car Cup in 2018–2019 and a single start in the World Touring Car Championship in 2017. His focus since 2019 has been GT World Challenge Europe, where he has taken two podiums across 90 starts for GetSpeed Team Bartone Bros and finished 18th in the 2019 championship standings.[2]

In GT World Challenge Europe he races regularly against established professionals and champions. He is closely matched with Frédéric Vervisch, a Gold-graded driver with extensive GT and touring car experience across multiple series, but usually finishes behind Charles Weerts, a four-time GT World Challenge Europe champion who remains among the series' strongest competitors. Earlier in his career he finished ahead of George Russell and Charles Leclerc, both generational talents who went on to Formula 1, in single-seater competition.
