🇫🇷 Simon Gachet

Simon Gachet is a professional sportscar driver, FIA Gold-graded, competing in GT World Challenge Europe for CSA Racing since 2019. He drives GT3 machinery in a shared-car endurance series run across Europe. Since 2025, he has also joined McLaren's factory GT3 program.[1]

Gachet's racing career spans eleven seasons from 2013 onwards. He began in Formula Renault Eurocup, a single-driver junior series, where he took one podium across 28 starts with Tech 1 Racing. His move to sportscar racing brought two wins and ten podiums in 84 GT World Challenge Europe starts, his main category. He has also contested the 24H Series in its GT3 classes and made recent appearances in Lamborghini Super Trofeo machinery. Across all indexed series he has 120 starts, two wins and eleven podiums.[2]

In GT World Challenge Europe, Gachet regularly races against Charles Weerts, a two-time GT World Challenge Europe champion and established Platinum-graded professional, typically finishing behind him. He runs closely matched with Aurélien Panis, a Silver-graded professional with experience across GT, touring car and Formula Renault competition. Against the strongest drivers he has faced, Gachet has finished ahead of Charles Leclerc, a generational Formula 1 driver and former Formula 2 champion, twice, and Matt Campbell, a Platinum-graded professional and multiple WEC LMGTE champion, once; these results came in the multiclass and shared-driver format of endurance racing, where field position can vary considerably from driver pace alone. CSA Racing, his team of record, is a small operation fielding multiple drivers with limited recent success in the championship.
