Ryo Orime was a professional racing in Japan's Super GT championship, competing in the GT300 class between 2008 and 2013. He drove FIA GT3 and Japanese-built GT300 specials in the multiclass endurance series for Bonds Racing and M7 Re-Amemiya Racing, sharing his car with co-drivers across 39 starts.[1]
Over six seasons Orime took four wins and thirteen podiums. He finished 25th in the 2013 championship standings in what proved to be his final season. His strongest form came in the middle years of his career; he was closely matched against regular opponents including Kazuki Hoshino, the 2010 GT300 champion, and Tetsuya Tanaka, a Bronze-graded professional. Orime finished ahead of Katsumasa Chiyo, an established professional, once across their meetings, and recorded thirteen race results against Yuhi Sekiguchi, a Gold-graded driver who would later win the Super GT GT500 class in 2021.[2]
