🇯🇵 Yuhi Sekiguchi

Yuhi Sekiguchi is an elite professional racing driver, FIA Gold graded, competing in the GT500 class of Japan's Super GT Series for TGR Team Sard. He races shared-driver endurance machines, purpose-built GT500 cars from Toyota, in a multiclass national championship that fields a mix of amateur and professional competitors.[1]

Sekiguchi has raced across 19 seasons since 2008, accumulating 133 Super GT starts with 6 wins and 22 podiums; he was part of TGR Team au Tom's GT500 championship-winning driver roster in 2021. Beyond endurance racing, he has contested Super Formula across five seasons from 2019 to 2023, taking 2 wins and 5 podiums from 38 starts in that national single-seater series. He has also made occasional appearances in Formula 3 competition, including 11 starts at Macau and 2 in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. His career totals stand at 184 starts, 8 wins and 27 podiums across all series. In the current 2026 Super GT season, he sits fourth in the standings so far through four completed rounds.[2]

The regular opposition in Super GT consists of established professionals graded Platinum; Sekiguchi remains closely matched against both Yuji Kunimoto and Kazuya Oshima, a two-time GT500 champion, across multiple seasons. He has also finished ahead of drivers of substantially higher profile, including four-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou in shared-car racing.
