Adrian Quaife-Hobbs is a retired British racing driver and established professional who competed in single-seater championships across seven seasons from 2007 to 2014. Graded FIA Gold, he raced in the Formula Renault Eurocup, Formula 3 Euro Series, GP3 Series and GP2 Series, primarily for Motopark Academy and Manor. Over 92 starts across these series, he took three wins and ten podiums.[1]
His record was built on consistency in fields mixing amateurs with graded professionals. In Formula Renault Eurocup he won once in 27 starts; in GP3 Series, where he recorded his most productive season, he won once and took two podiums in 13 rounds and finished eighth in the championship. GP2 Series saw him take a single victory in 37 starts for Rapax in 2013 and 2014, part of a four-podium haul in that competition. His most significant single-seater scalp came early in the GP2 campaign when he beat Pierre Gasly, then the reigning Formula Renault Eurocup champion, in a race at Monza.[2]
Quaife-Hobbs was closely matched against Rio Haryanto, an established professional who went on to Formula 1, across multiple championships including GP3 and GP2. He usually finished ahead of fellow Gold-graded driver Simon Trummer in their meetings. Against Mitch Evans, an elite professional who later raced extensively in Formula E, he won 20 encounters across GP2 and GP3, though Evans' superior pace was evident over the full season. His career operated at the level of a capable, graded professional within a highly competitive field; his standing within that field was mid-pack.
