🇫🇷 Olivier Panis

Olivier Panis is an established professional and former Formula 1 driver who raced solo single-seaters across fourteen seasons from 1990 to 2004. He competed in Formula 1 for a decade, entering 158 races for Toyota, and also raced International Formula 3000 and Formula 3 Macau early in his career. He finished thirteenth in the 1994 Formula 1 championship standings at the end of his time in the series.[1]

Panis took four wins across his indexed career. His sole Formula 1 victory came at the 1996 Monaco Grand Prix. He scored five additional podiums in Formula 1 and three wins in International Formula 3000 with DAMS in 1992 and 1993, where he accumulated six podiums from nineteen starts. His Formula 1 record spanned from 1994 through 2004, a sustained presence in a field that included future two-time champions and multiple title contenders.[2]

His regular Formula 1 opponents included David Coulthard, with whom he was closely matched across their meetings, and Rubens Barrichello, a multiple champion in other categories and a regular rival. Panis finished ahead of Fernando Alonso, an elite professional and two-time Formula 1 champion, on five occasions, and ahead of Mark Webber, another elite driver and future endurance racing champion, seven times. He raced primarily for Ligier across 49 starts, a team that fielded established professional talent and scored nine wins across its history in this index.
