Austin Dillon is an established professional competing full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Richard Childress Racing, driving the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. He holds a Gold FIA grade in endurance racing. Dillon has raced primarily in oval-track stock car racing across nineteen seasons, with a career spanning NASCAR's top three national series.[1]

Dillon won the 2015 NASCAR Xfinity championship with Richard Childress Racing. In the Cup Series, his primary arena since 2018, he has posted six wins and eighteen podiums across 334 starts; the vast majority of those Cup starts have come on ovals, with occasional road-course entries. His Xfinity record shows nine wins and thirty-one podiums in 158 starts. He also competed in NASCAR Truck racing from 2013 to 2022, taking three wins and four podiums in twenty-one starts, and made brief appearances in ARCA Menards, IMSA WeatherTech endurance racing, and Trans-Am TA2.[2]

In the Cup Series, Dillon's record places him mid-field against a regular field of established and elite professionals. He has finished behind Kyle Busch, a Platinum-graded driver and five-time Xfinity champion, in most of their meetings but has run closely matched against Brad Keselowski across numerous races. He has beaten elite professionals including Denny Hamlin, 2025 Cup champion, and Ryan Blaney in head-to-head competition, though both remain ahead of him more often than not. Richard Childress Racing, his team for much of his career, has fielded fifty-four drivers and won eighty-four races in the indexed record, with established professional Tony Stewart among its strongest drivers.
