Ernesto Viso is a retired Venezuelan racing driver who competed primarily in single-seater formula racing during the mid-2000s. His career encompassed 33 starts across two racing series, primarily focused on the GP2 Series where he drove for Racing Engineering from 2005 to 2007. During his GP2 career, Viso achieved 2 wins and 6 podium finishes across 32 starts, establishing himself as a competitive driver in the category. He also made a single appearance in Formula 3 Macau in 2003 driving for Promatecme-RPM.[1]
Following his GP2 involvement, Viso expanded his racing activities to other categories including a drive for Spyker MF1 Racing in Formula 1 testing capacities, participation in the Stadium Super Trucks in 2014, and later competition in the IndyCar Series with Andretti Autosport. His most recent documented racing activity came in 2007 during the final rounds of the GP2 Series, after which he transitioned away from active competition at the highest levels of motorsport.[2]
