Giorgio Pantano is an Italian professional racing driver who competed primarily in open-wheel racing during the 2000s. He drove for the Jordan Formula One team during the 2004 season before transitioning to other series. Pantano contested the GP2 Series from 2005 through 2008, accumulating 60 starts across that period with Racing Engineering as his team.[1]
During his GP2 Series tenure, Pantano recorded 9 wins and 23 podium finishes. His most successful season came in 2008, when he secured the GP2 Series championship title. That final year saw him complete 14 rounds with 4 wins and 7 podiums, finishing fourth in the final standings. Pantano retired from professional racing in 2014.[2]
