🇨🇳 Zhou Guanyu

Zhou Guanyu is a retired elite professional single-seater driver who raced across seven seasons from 2015 to 2021. His primary career was in Formula 2 with UNI-Virtuosi, where he took five wins and twenty podiums across 68 starts. He also spent three full seasons in FIA Formula 3 European with PREMA Theodore Racing, winning twice from 78 starts, and raced Italian F4 and ADAC Formula 4 early in his career.[1]

His indexed record shows 178 starts across all series, with 10 wins and 44 podiums. His strongest early season came in Italian F4 in 2015, where he finished second in the championship standings with three wins and nine podiums from twenty starts. In FIA Formula 3 European, he competed from 2016 to 2018 against a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals, taking thirteen podiums and holding his own against established single-seater talent. Formula 2 represented his peak, where he drove for one of the grid's strongest teams and accumulated consistent results across both the SR1 and SR2 classes between 2019 and 2021.[2]

The fields he raced contained multiple generational drivers who went on to become Formula 1 race winners. He finished ahead of George Russell, the 2018 Formula 2 champion and later a Formula 1 front-runner, in four meetings across FIA Formula 3 European and Formula 2. Against Lando Norris, the 2017 FIA Formula 3 European champion and later a Formula 1 race winner, he took seventeen finishes ahead. His most regular rival was Mick Schumacher, the 2018 FIA Formula 3 European and 2020 Formula 2 champion; the two remained closely matched across their shared seasons. Against Marino Sato, a professional competitor with eighty-one Formula 2 starts, Zhou usually finished ahead.
