Zhou Guanyu is a retired Chinese racing driver who competed as an established professional in open-wheel sprint racing at European and international level. He raced single-seater formulas across seven seasons from 2015 to 2021, starting in Italian F4 and ADAC Formula 4 before moving through FIA Formula 3 European and Formula 2 with PREMA Theodore Racing and UNI-Virtuosi respectively. His record across 178 starts yielded 10 wins and 44 podiums.[1]

Zhou spent three seasons in FIA Formula 3 European between 2016 and 2018, taking 2 wins and 13 podiums across 78 starts for PREMA Theodore Racing. He then moved to Formula 2, where he was the lead driver for UNI-Virtuosi across three campaigns from 2019 to 2021. In Formula 2 he scored 5 wins and 20 podiums from 68 starts, finishing consistently in the points. His entry to the formulas came through Italian F4 in 2015, where he finished second in the championship standings with 3 wins and 9 podiums from 20 starts.[2]

In FIA Formula 3 European, Zhou raced against a field that included the eventual 2017 Formula 3 European champion and 2025 Formula 1 champion Lando Norris; he finished ahead of Norris across their meetings in that series. He was closely matched with Mick Schumacher, the 2018 Formula 3 European champion and 2020 Formula 2 champion, in both FIA Formula 3 European and Formula 2. Against Marino Sato, a professional-level competitor with significant experience in the same three series, Zhou typically finished ahead. His rating of 6,213 places him among established professionals; this reflects a career spent beating mid-field regulars and occasional strong drivers, with consistent points finishes across both the junior formulas and the higher-level open-wheel championships in which he raced.
