Mick Schumacher is an established professional racing driver competing in the IndyCar Series for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, holding an FIA Platinum grade in endurance racing. He has raced single-seater championships from Formula 4 through Formula 1, and currently competes in IndyCar and the FIA World Endurance Championship. His rating of 5,212 places him among established professionals; he has won two FIA single-seater championships and taken podiums across multiple series.[1]

Schumacher won the FIA Formula 3 European championship with Prema Theodore Racing in 2018, the same year he raced in Formula 3 Macau, and progressed to Formula 2 where he won the 2020 title with Prema Racing. He competed in Formula 1 for Haas over 2021 and 2022, taking 44 starts without points finishes. Since 2024 he has raced in the World Endurance Championship, where he has taken three podiums across 16 starts for Alpine Endurance Team and currently sits 12th in the championship standings with eight rounds raced. He joined IndyCar in 2026 and has run 11 starts to date, competing primarily on road and street courses with four starts on ovals.[2]

Throughout single-seater racing he was a regular opponent of Zhou Guanyu, an established professional with extensive Formula 2 and Formula 3 experience, and usually finished ahead of Marino Sato, a Gold-graded professional. In the FIA Formula 3 European championship he finished ahead of Lando Norris six times; Norris would go on to become a generational talent and 2025 Formula 1 champion. Most of Schumacher's early racing came through Prema Powerteam, one of the dominant teams in junior single-seaters.
