David Walker was an Australian racing driver who competed in Formula 1 for Team Lotus during the 1971 and 1972 seasons, making 11 starts in the world championship. He also raced in NASA's multiclass endurance series in 2010, driving a production-based street car in the PTC class. Walker held an FIA Bronze grade, placing him among amateur and gentleman drivers racing alongside professionals in sportscar competition.[1]

Walker's Formula 1 career coincided with the early 1970s, a period when the grid included multiple former and future world champions. He finished behind Denny Hulme and François Cevert in most meetings, though he outfinished Hulme on one occasion and beat Niki Lauda, a three-time world champion, once during this span. His single win came nearly four decades later in NASA competition in 2010, where he took two podiums across three starts.[2]
