🇯🇵 Felix Rosenqvist

Felix Rosenqvist is an established professional racing driver with a rating of 6,565; he sits among the sharp end of top-level motorsport without quite reaching the elite front. His career breaks down as a series of excursions into increasingly prestigious single-seater categories, with IndyCar his primary home since 2019. That 125-start IndyCar record, containing only 2 wins and 10 podiums from a professional fielding some of the strongest drivers in open-wheel racing, tells the clearest story: Rosenqvist competes at the level of a front-runner in a deeply competitive championship but does not dominate it. His head-to-head record against the field bears this out. Against Josef Newgarden and Scott Dixon, both multiple IndyCar champions and considerably stronger drivers, Rosenqvist finished ahead in 43 of 125 and 36 of 124 shared races respectively; against Will Power, another champion, he came out ahead in 45 of 124. These are plainly losing records, and consistent with a driver holding his own among professionals rather than beating them habitually. His better records came against Santino Ferrucci and Graham Rahal, both Gold-graded professionals of similar standing, finishing ahead of each in 96 of 142 and 63 of 125 races.[1]

Rosenqvist's path to IndyCar ran through the junior single-seater ladder. He won the 2015 FIA Formula 3 European Championship, the headline credential on his record, accumulating 29 wins and 52 podiums across 109 starts for Prema Powerteam; he also raced in lower Formula 3 tiers and proved sharp enough in short-field Macau competition to win four of twelve starts there between 2010 and 2016. A brief spell in Formula E with Mahindra Racing in 2016 yielded 3 wins and 7 podiums across 20 races. He sampled other single-seater categories, Super Formula and Japanese domestic Formula 3 in 2017, Super GT in 2018, without meaningful success, and has recently begun to appear in IMSA endurance racing, finishing on the podium in both of his two starts to date. He carries the FIA's Gold grading for sportscar and endurance competition, which denotes him a professional-level driver in that sphere. Multiple sources from July 2026 report his signing with Arrow McLaren for the 2027 IndyCar season, beginning another chapter alongside Dixon.[2]
