Alexander Rossi is an American racing driver whose career has spanned open-wheel, endurance, and top-flight international competition. Before establishing himself in IndyCar, Rossi competed in Formula One, making five Grand Prix starts in 2015, a rare achievement for an American driver in the modern era. He first drew wide attention in American open-wheel racing with a rookie victory at the Indianapolis 500 in 2016 with Bryan Herta Autosport, a result that remains a signature moment of his career.
