🇳🇱 Rinus VeeKay

Rinus VeeKay is an established professional racing in IndyCar for Juncos Hollinger Racing, the series where he has spent the bulk of his career since 2020. Graded FIA Gold, the full-professional designation in endurance racing, he competes solo in single-seater machinery on a mix of oval and road courses across the United States. His rating of 6,342 places him among the top hundred active drivers on the Elo scale.[1]

VeeKay won the 2018 Pro Mazda Championship with Juncos Racing, taking seven wins from sixteen starts before moving to Indy NXT in 2019, where he dominated the field with six wins and fourteen podiums across eighteen rounds. He has made 110 IndyCar starts since 2020, earning one victory and five podiums; his best finishes came in the early seasons of his tenure, but recent results show a resurgence including multiple top-five finishes in 2026. He also contested IMSA WeatherTech's LMP2 prototype class across three rounds in the 2021–2023 period, scoring one podium with TDS Racing.[2]

His IndyCar field has included Álex Palou, the four-time series champion and Platinum-graded professional, whom VeeKay has beaten in twenty-four races, and Pato O'Ward, an elite professional and Indy NXT champion, against whom he has a losing record but regularly competes. Josef Newgarden, a Platinum-graded two-time IndyCar champion, is another regular opponent with whom VeeKay typically finishes behind. He sits in the middle order of the grid, capable of running with established professionals but not at the level of the series' strongest contenders.
