🇧🇪 Tom Van Rompuy

Tom Van Rompuy is a professional endurance racing driver competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Akkodis ASP Team, racing a Lexus LMGT3 car. Graded FIA Bronze, he races in multiclass and single-class endurance championships across Europe and Asia, sharing drive duties in longer-format events. His career spans six seasons from 2019 to the present, concentrated in prototype and GT racing.[1]

Van Rompuy has taken nine podiums across 45 starts, with his sole win coming in the WEC. His record is spread across the World Endurance Championship, where he has made 22 starts including six rounds of the 2026 season so far and currently sits 15th in the points; the Asian Le Mans Series; the European Le Mans Series, where he took two podiums in eight starts; the Prototype Winter Series, where he finished on the podium in both of his 2024 starts; and the 24H Series. At Akkodis ASP he has raced 16 times since joining in late 2025, taking one podium in the current WEC campaign.[2]

His regular opponents include FIA Silver-graded Simon Mann, a 36-time WEC starter and 13-time Asian Le Mans competitor against whom Van Rompuy typically finishes behind, and FIA Bronze-graded François Heriau, a 28-time WEC entrant, in similar positions. He has finished ahead of Laurin Heinrich, the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech GTDPRO champion, twice, and twice ahead of Lucas Auer, who won the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe championship across 50 starts in that series. DKR Engineering, which fielded him for 15 starts before his move to Akkodis ASP, has recorded 41 wins across the index and counts the established professional Tom Dillmann among its drivers.
