Richard Lietz is an established professional sportscar and endurance racing driver, rated 5,265; this places him among competitive full-time professionals who win regularly in the strongest GT and Le Mans fields. Holding FIA Platinum status, he is a factory Porsche driver competing at the highest level of GT and endurance racing worldwide. His career spans 23 seasons from 2003 onward, with 158 starts yielding 18 wins and 46 podiums, averaging a finishing position of P7.4 across classified races. His two championships came in 2015 and 2025, marking sustained success across more than a decade of racing.[1]

The World Endurance Championship has been his primary focus since 2012, accounting for 96 of his 158 starts and 14 of his 18 career wins, predominantly with The Bend Manthey. In that series alone he has recorded 39 podiums, establishing himself as a consistent front-runner in the world's premier endurance field. In 2026 Lietz remains active in WEC, where he has scored three podiums across four rounds to date. His recent activity includes an IMSA WeatherTech programme and appearances in the Asian Le Mans Series, demonstrating continued high-level professional work well into a career now spanning two decades of racing.
