🇩🇰 Nicki Thiim

Nicki Thiim is an established professional competing across multiple categories of sportscar and touring racing. FIA Platinum-graded, he drives for Comtoyou Racing in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, a national single-class championship mixing amateurs and professionals, and in GT World Challenge Europe, a multiclass endurance series. His primary team remains Aston Martin Racing, which has fielded him across the World Endurance Championship since 2013.[1]

Over 15 seasons on record, Thiim has recorded 142 starts across eight series, taking 17 wins and 37 podiums. The bulk of his career has run through WEC, where he spent eleven seasons with Northwest AMR and accumulated 13 wins and 22 podiums from 55 starts. He won the FIA World Endurance Championship drivers' title in 2016 and in the 2019–20 season, and took overall victory in the 2024 24 Hours of Spa. His DTM campaign with Comtoyou began in 2022 and spans the four seasons to date; he has also raced GT World Challenge Europe for the same team since 2019, recording two wins and six podiums across 24 starts. IMSA WeatherTech brought two podiums from seven starts over the 2014–2026 period.[2]

In established company, Thiim finishes variably. He and Davide Rigon, a WEC LMGTE Pro champion with 85 starts in that series, are closely matched across their shared entries. Against Maro Engel, the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe champion and a much-raced Platinum-graded professional, Thiim usually finishes behind. He finished ahead of Max Verstappen once in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and once ahead of Kyle Kirkwood, an Indy NXT champion; both stand as isolated results against drivers racing primarily in single-seaters rather than the endurance and GT fields where Thiim competes most. His current WEC standing is 24th in the championship.
