🇮🇹 Mirko Bortolotti

Mirko Bortolotti is an established professional racing driver competing in circuit motorsport across multiple series. He holds FIA Platinum grading, the highest professional classification in sportscar and endurance racing. Bortolotti races primarily for TGI Team by GRT in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and GT World Challenge Europe, a single-class sprint championship; he has also accumulated significant starts in multiclass endurance racing, including IMSA WeatherTech, World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. His rating of 4,878 places him among the upper tier of established professionals.[1]

Over thirteen seasons from 2009 onwards, Bortolotti has taken twelve wins and fifty podiums across 178 starts. His 2024 DTM title with SSR Performance represents his highest achievement to date. In endurance racing he has won four times in IMSA WeatherTech competition and once each in World Endurance Championship and ADAC GT Masters. His single-seater career began with Formula 3 Euro Series in 2009, where he took a podium in two starts, and continued through GP3 Series in 2010 with one podium from fourteen entries. The bulk of his career has been spent in GT and endurance racing, where he has raced across multiple championships and teams since 2012.[2]

Bortolotti competes regularly against established professionals of equivalent standing. He has raced frequently alongside Maro Engel, the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe champion and a FIA Platinum driver, and Luca Stolz, another Platinum-graded regular across the same circuits; both remain closely matched with him in head-to-head competition. In endurance competition he has finished ahead of both Liam Lawson, an elite professional with Formula 1 and Formula 2 experience, and Max Verstappen, the generational Formula 1 champion, once each. Bortolotti's longest tenure has been with GRT Grasser Racing Team across multiple series, representing over half his total indexed starts.
