Paolo Montin was a professional racing driver competing in Formula 3 single-seater championships between 1998 and 2005. He drove primarily in Formula 3 Macau across seven seasons, taking one start in the Formula 3 Euro Series in 2005 for Ombra Racing. His single-seater career comprised 14 starts in fields that mixed amateur, semi-professional and graded professional drivers.[1]
Montin took one win and four podiums across his indexed racing. He finished ahead of semi-professional regulars Kit Meng Lei and Jo Merszei consistently in Formula 3 Macau competition. He also recorded victories over drivers who went on to significantly stronger careers; he finished ahead of Sebastian Vettel, a four-time Formula 1 world champion and elite professional, in their Formula 3 Euro Series meeting, and beat Heikki Kovalainen, another elite professional who competed in Formula 1 and GP2, twice in Macau. His results place him at professional level on the Racer Rating scale.[2]
