Michael Ho is a retired Macanese driver who competed in Formula 3 Macau between 1999 and 2010. He was an entry-level professional, a grade that describes drivers competing regularly in national or international single-seater racing against fields mixing amateurs with established professionals. Ho raced for GM-DSF F3 Team and other entrants across 21 starts in the series.[1]
Ho's record in Formula 3 Macau spanned eleven seasons. He regularly finished ahead of fellow entry-level professionals Kit Meng Lei and Jo Merszei, both longstanding competitors in the same championship. His most notable finishes came against drivers of substantially higher standing; he finished ahead of Sebastian Vettel, then a Formula 3 Euro Series competitor en route to becoming a four-time Formula 1 champion, and also ahead of Nelson Piquet Jr, later a Formula E champion.[2]
Ho raced in a field that regularly included drivers ranging from developing amateurs to established professionals. His ability to beat entry-level regulars and occasionally finish ahead of drivers who would go on to greater success in international series places him in the middle order of the Macau grid across his career.
