🇿🇦 Kelvin van der Linde

Kelvin van der Linde is an established professional racing driver at Platinum grade, the FIA's highest classification for sportscar and endurance racing. He races primarily in GT3 machinery across a range of international championships, with his primary team Team WRT. In 2025, he won the GT World Challenge Europe championship.[1]

His career spans twelve seasons and 175 starts across eight series since 2015. In GT World Challenge Europe, his main series, he has taken 8 wins and 18 podiums across 59 starts, capped by the 2025 title with Team WRT. He has also raced DTM extensively for Schubert Motorsport, scoring 8 wins in 59 starts, and competes regularly in endurance racing; he has twice won the Nürburgring 24 Hours, holds 20 starts in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie with 4 wins, and races in multiclass endurance championships including the 24H Series and Bathurst 12 Hour, where he has won once and taken multiple podiums. In 2024 and 2025 he competed in the World Endurance Championship for Team WRT, taking 2 podiums across 14 starts and finishing 7th in the 2025 championship standings. He also completed a brief Formula E campaign with ABT CUPRA in 2023 and 2024.[2]

Van der Linde is closely matched against the established professionals he races most regularly, holding head-to-head records with 2024 GT World Challenge Europe champion Maro Engel and fellow Platinum-graded Luca Stolz across multiple shared series. He has finished ahead of drivers from far stronger categories; he beat Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen once in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, and has multiple results ahead of elite professional Liam Lawson in endurance racing. He competes for an established and well-resourced team that has fielded elite professionals including Franco Colapinto and has accumulated over 110 race wins across its campaign.
