Frederic Makowiecki is an established professional racing driver, FIA Platinum graded, competing in international multiclass and single-class endurance racing. He drives for Alpine Endurance Team in the FIA World Endurance Championship's Hypercar class and has raced primarily in WEC and IMSA WeatherTech, also holding significant experience in Super GT and the Nürburgring-based series. His career spans 18 seasons and 139 starts across all indexed series.[1]

Makowiecki has accumulated 15 wins and 51 podiums in his indexed record. In WEC, where he has spent most of his career, he has 69 starts, 6 wins and 31 podiums for Alpine Endurance Team. He has been a regular competitor in IMSA WeatherTech's multiclass grid since 2014, taking 5 wins and 12 podiums from 31 starts across the GTD, GTLM and GTP classes for Porsche Penske Motorsports. His other significant campaign came in Super GT, where he took 3 wins from 19 starts with NDDP Racing with B-Max between 2013 and 2019. He competed in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie multiclass endurance grid with Manthey-Racing, scoring a win among three podiums from five starts. He races regularly against James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi, both established professionals and four-time WEC Hypercar champions, with whom he is closely matched or typically finishes behind. He has also finished ahead of drivers of considerably higher standing: Pascal Wehrlein, an elite professional who won the 2012 Formula 3 Euro Series and 2024 Formula E championship, and Alex Palou, who has won the IndyCar championship five times and holds an elite professional rating. Makowiecki's team, Porsche Penske Motorsports in IMSA, is an established operation that has fielded its strongest driver in Laurens Vanthoor, an established professional in his own right.
