Toby Sowery is an established professional driver competing in the top tier of North American sportscar racing. Sowery's career path moved through junior single-seater competition before establishing himself in endurance and prototype racing. He competed in British F4 and Italian F4 as a developing driver in 2015 and 2018, then spent three seasons in GB3 from 2016 to 2017 with Lanan Racing, where he won seven races and podiumed 21 times in 42 starts. His single-seater journey continued through Pro Mazda and five seasons in Indy NXT from 2019 to 2023, where he competed against established professionals including Pato O'Ward and Kyle Kirkwood, beating them on occasion but finishing behind them more often; he took one win and 11 podiums across 35 starts.
