Tarun Reddy was a professional racing in single-seater championships run in Britain between 2015 and 2016. He drove for Double R Racing in British F4 and then joined Fortec Motorsports for GB3, competing in fields that mixed amateurs with graded professionals and established drivers moving through the junior formulae.[1]
Across 39 starts, Reddy took five podiums. In his first season, British F4, he scored once from 18 entries. GB3 proved more productive; across 21 rounds in 2016 he finished on the podium four times and ended the season seventh in the championship standings. He occasionally finished ahead of much stronger drivers, including four times beating Lando Norris, who would go on to win the 2025 Formula 1 championship.[2]
Against his regular opponents, Reddy was mid-field. He was closely matched with Enaam Ahmed, who won GB3 in 2017 and went on to race Indy Pro 2000; he typically finished behind Ricky Collard, an FIA Gold driver who later won the British GT Championship. Norris' presence across both series and Reddy's ability to beat him four times speaks to the quality of the field rather than to Reddy's standing within it; Norris was dominant that year and Reddy was one driver among many in a crowded junior category. His podiums came in a season where such finishes required competing successfully against a wide field of racing drivers at similar stages of development.
