Nicklas Nielsen is an established professional racing in international endurance competition, FIA Platinum graded. He drives a Ferrari 499P for Ferrari AF Corse in the World Endurance Championship, where he has raced since 2019. His primary career sits in multiclass and single-class endurance racing across the WEC, GT World Challenge Europe, and European Le Mans Series, where cars are shared between drivers during races lasting several hours.[1]
Nielsen has taken 13 wins and 37 podiums across 132 starts since 2016. His record in the WEC spans eight seasons and 47 starts, producing eight wins and 21 podiums; he won the 2021 WEC championship with AF Corse. In GT World Challenge Europe he has taken two wins from 18 starts, and in the European Le Mans Series, which he joined in 2022, one win from 15 starts across its LMGT3, LMGTE and LMP2 classes. He contested IMSA WeatherTech in 2021 and 2024 onwards, taking one win from 15 starts, and in his first indexed single-seater season, ADAC Formula 4 in 2016β2017, he took one win from 35 starts in a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals.[2]
Nielsen races regularly alongside Mikkel Jensen, an established professional and IMSA WeatherTech LMP2 champion, and Fabio Scherer, a professional graded Gold; the three are closely matched. He has finished ahead of Alex Palou, a four-time IndyCar champion and elite professional, and Pascal Wehrlein, the 2024 Formula E champion and another elite professional, though each meeting came once. AF Corse, his team of record across 32 starts, fields elite-level drivers including Liam Lawson and has accumulated 195 wins across the index. In the 2026 WEC season, now in progress, Nielsen has taken one podium from four rounds so far.
