🇺🇸 Robert Megennis

Robert Megennis is an entry-level professional racing in national endurance championships; his FIA Silver grade places him below the full-professional ranks in sportscar racing. He races primarily in IMSA's national multiclass series, driving GT4-level and GT3 cars for Random Vandals Racing in the Pilot Challenge and for Triarsi Competizione in the WeatherTech Championship. He also contested Indy NXT single-seaters from 2019 to 2021 with Andretti Autosport, the most established entry in his record.[1]

Across nine seasons since 2017, Megennis has accumulated 24 podiums from 124 starts. In Indy NXT he won once and took nine podiums across 38 starts, his single-seater record sitting above his standing in his later endurance work; he took five podiums in 28 IMSA WeatherTech starts and four in 40 Pilot Challenge appearances. His only indexed single-seater season was Pro Mazda in 2017 and 2018, where he finished sixth in the championship standings and earned six podiums from 17 races. He has not won in any of his three national endurance series.[2]

The drivers he races most consistently are professional-graded competitors; he is closely matched with Robby Foley, a FIA Gold-graded regular in both Pilot Challenge and WeatherTech who won the 2023 Pilot Challenge GS title, and with David Malukas, an elite professional who has raced IndyCar and contested Indy NXT ahead of Megennis during their overlapping years. Megennis has finished ahead of Scott McLaughlin, a two-time Supercars champion and a Platinum-graded driver, once in endurance company. His seniority relative to the graded professionals on similar grids places him at the lower end of their shared fields.
