🇺🇸 Ted Giovanis

Ted Giovanis is an entry-level professional racing in national multiclass endurance championships. FIA Bronze graded, he competes primarily in IMSA Pilot Challenge for Team TGM, driving GT4-level production sports cars in the series' GS class. He has also raced in IMSA WeatherTech, International GT, and Porsche Carrera Cup NA.[1]

Across eleven seasons from 2016 to 2026, Giovanis has started 98 times and taken three podiums. His main tenure has been with Team TGM in IMSA Pilot Challenge, where he has made 86 starts since 2016. Team TGM won the IMSA Pilot Challenge GS championship in 2018 and again in 2024, with Giovanis on the roster for both seasons. His four starts in IMSA WeatherTech came in 2021 and 2022 with TGM and TF Sport, racing GT3 machinery in the GTD and GTDPRO classes. He made six starts in International GT from 2022 to 2025 across two classes, and completed two rounds of Porsche Carrera Cup NA in 2021 with ACI Motorsports, finishing fifteenth in the season standings.[2]

In the fields he races regularly, Giovanis typically finishes behind other entry-level professionals. He has raced Matt Plumb, a 2024 IMSA Pilot Challenge GS champion, and Gregory Liefooghe, both regular opponents at this level with substantially more series starts. He has occasionally finished ahead of drivers with considerably stronger credentials, including elite professional Chase Briscoe, a former ARCA Menards Series champion with NASCAR Cup experience, and established professional Corey Heim, a three-time NASCAR Truck champion. Team TGM, which fielded eight drivers across the index, has recorded ten race wins in that span; Giovanis has contributed three of the team's podium finishes across its two championship seasons in IMSA Pilot Challenge.
