Dillon Machavern is a professional FIA Silver-graded driver racing in multiclass endurance championships in the United States. He competes primarily in IMSA Pilot Challenge for Turner Motorsport, where he races the GS class in GT4-level production sports cars and the ST class in modified production machinery. His career spans eleven seasons from 2016 onward, with additional starts in IMSA WeatherTech, Trans-Am TA2 and a single IMSA Prototype Challenge appearance.[1]
Machavern won the 2017 IMSA Pilot Challenge championship with RS1 and the 2026 title with Turner Motorsport. Across all series, he has taken 9 wins and 36 podiums in 121 starts. In IMSA Pilot Challenge alone, where he has spent most of his career, he has 7 wins and 23 podiums from 79 entries. His 2023 Trans-Am TA2 campaign yielded two podiums in a full season. In IMSA WeatherTech, where he shares cars in the GTD and LMP3 classes, he has posted 3 podiums and 2 wins from 15 starts.[2]
Machavern races regularly against professional Gold-graded opposition and holds a closely matched record against two regular rivals: Trent Hindman, a Gold-graded driver and multiple IMSA champion with extensive experience across WeatherTech and Pilot Challenge, and Matt Plumb, a Silver-graded colleague who won the 2024 Pilot Challenge GS title. He has finished ahead of drivers from other formulae, including elite professional Kyle Kirkwood, who has raced IndyCar and the Indy NXT ladder.
