Artur Janosz was a professional driver competing in single-seater championships between 2015 and 2016. He raced primarily for Trident in the GP3 Series, where he made 31 starts, and also competed in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship and Formula V8 3.5. He held an FIA Silver grading, a classification below the full-professional Gold and Platinum grades within sportscar and endurance racing.[1]
His racing career spanned two seasons in the junior single-seater ranks. In 2015 he began with two appearances in FIA Formula 3 European for EuroInternational before racing GP3 for Trident, and made a pair of starts in Formula V8 3.5 in 2016. His final season came in 2016 when he contested the full GP3 campaign, finishing 18th in the championship standings across 15 rounds.[2]
Janosz raced regularly against drivers who went on to established success. He was closely matched with Alex Palou, now a five-time IndyCar champion, across multiple meetings in GP3 and Formula 3 European, and occasionally outpaced him. He was also a regular opponent of Antonio Fuoco, an established professional who has raced in Formula 2 and the World Endurance Championship, though Fuoco typically finished ahead. In one race Janosz beat Alexander Albon, now an established professional who has competed in Formula 1; such occasions were rare against drivers of Albon's calibre.
