Jo Zeller is a Swiss racing driver who raced in Formula 3 Macau between 1983 and 1994, fielding his own team, Jo Zeller Racing, for most of his starts in the series. He competed at entry-level professional level, a designation that describes drivers who typically finish outside the regular winners' circle against a mixed field of amateurs, semi-professionals and professionals.[1]
Zeller made 11 starts across a five-season span in the Macau championship. He raced against a regular field that included established professionals; he usually finished behind Allen Berg and Roberto Guerrero, both of whom had competed at significantly higher levels including Formula 1 and IndyCar. On occasion he finished ahead of drivers who would go on to established careers, including two victories against Alexander Wurz, who competed in 69 Formula 1 races and 28 WEC entries, and one win against Martin Brundle, a 158-race Formula 1 driver. Jo Zeller Racing, the team he founded, won once across the index and fielded drivers of varying calibre during his time operating it.[2]
