Francesco Piovanetti is an entry-level professional racing in international multiclass endurance series. Graded FIA Bronze, he competes in GT3 and GTE machinery for Squadra Corse Garage Italia and AF Corse. His record spans seven starts across IMSA WeatherTech, Road to Le Mans, and the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2018 to 2020.[1]
Piovanetti's career consists of three IMSA WeatherTech starts in the GTD class in 2018, three Road to Le Mans appearances in GT3 between 2019 and 2026, and one WEC outing in LMGTE Am in 2020. His most recent indexed activity was that single WEC start. He typically finishes behind regular opponents such as Ben Keating, a multiple IMSA and WEC LMGTE Am champion, and Jeroen Bleekemolen, a GTD champion with extensive experience in IMSA WeatherTech and WEC. Piovanetti has nevertheless beaten established professionals on occasion; he finished ahead of Patrick Long, an experienced IMSA and WEC driver, and Felipe Fraga, a Stock Car Pro Series champion with significant IMSA WeatherTech mileage.[2]
