Jules Gounon is a French professional racing driver based in Andorra who has built his career primarily in endurance and GT racing. Before joining Alpine, he served as a Bentley factory driver and established himself as one of the sport's more accomplished GT specialists, earning notable victories at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2017 and 2022 and the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2020, 2022 and 2023, campaigns that took place alongside his GT racing work for Mercedes-AMG. That background helped prepare him for a move into top-level sports car prototype competition.[1]
Gounon currently competes for Alpine Endurance Team in the FIA World Endurance Championship, where he remains an active driver without a series championship to his name. Across his WEC starts, he has amassed 30 race entries, 2 career wins, and 9 podium finishes. His Racer Rating stands at 5,720, placing him 188th among active drivers on the Elo-style scale. In the 2026 season, Gounon has started 3 rounds without a win or podium, sitting P28 in the standings as his campaign with Alpine continues.[2]
