Kevin McGarrity is a retired Northern Irish racing driver who competed as an established professional in International Formula 3000, a single-class open-wheel championship that ran amateur through to graded professional drivers in the same field. He raced for Nordic Racing / MobilCom across three seasons from 1998 to 2000, taking 22 starts.[1]
McGarrity finished 19th in the 2000 International Formula 3000 championship standings. His career yielded one podium finish across the series. He was a regular opponent of Bruno Junqueira, the 2000 Formula 3000 champion, and the two were closely matched across their meetings; McGarrity also finished ahead of Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber, both of whom went on to successful careers in Formula 1 and endurance racing. Against Nicolas Minassian, a professional with substantial experience in both Formula 3000 and sportscar racing, McGarrity usually finished behind.[2]
