🇺🇸 Matthew Brabham

Matthew Brabham is an established professional competing in national sprint racing at FIA Silver level. He drives the No. 20 Ford Mustang for Chris Dyson Racing in the Trans-Am Series, where he has been a mainstay since 2021 and is currently leading the championship after eight rounds. His principal career has been in the Road to Indy ladder and Indy NXT, where he spent a decade as a regular entry for Juncos Hollinger Racing; he won the 2013 Pro Mazda Championship with Andretti Autosport and has also raced briefly in IndyCar, Formula E and IMSA prototype and GT4 endurance events.[1]

Brabham won 13 of 16 races in his 2013 Pro Mazda season, taking the championship at his first attempt. He spent the following decade in Indy NXT, where he took three wins from 37 starts and ran consistently in the field, finishing ahead of fellow professionals Juan Piedrahita and Scott Anderson in their regular meetings. In 2021 he began racing in Trans-Am, where he has found his strongest form; he won 14 of his 24 starts and took podiums in 20 of them. His current 2026 season has yielded seven wins from eight rounds so far, with seven podium finishes, and he leads the championship standings.[2]

In his Indy NXT years Brabham raced against drivers including Felix Rosenqvist, the 2015 FIA Formula 3 European champion and subsequent IndyCar regular, and Josef Newgarden, who won the Indy NXT title in 2011 and became a two-time IndyCar champion; he finished ahead of both in individual meetings. Trans-Am has seen him dominant among the field regularly; recent rounds at Watkins Glen and Road America have produced flag-to-flag victories.
