Tom Kimber-Smith is an established professional in endurance racing, holding an FIA Gold grading. He raced prototypes in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship from 2014 to 2017 for PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports, competing in multiclass endurance events across the United States where each car is shared among multiple drivers. He also drove LMP2 prototypes in the World Endurance Championship between 2012 and 2014 for Caterham Racing, and started his career in single-driver Formula 3 Euro Series racing in 2004.[1]
Across 41 indexed starts spanning these three series, Kimber-Smith recorded four wins and nine podiums. In IMSA WeatherTech he took three wins and seven podiums from 24 starts, racing as part of PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports' driver roster during their 2016 title year. He won once in the WEC from six starts, finishing 23rd in the 2014 championship standings in his final indexed season.[2]
