Alex Riberas is an established professional racing driver competing in sportscar and endurance racing. Holding an FIA Gold grading, he races for Aston Martin THOR Team in both the IMSA WeatherTech Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship, piloting GT3 machinery in multiclass fields. His career spans 16 seasons from 2010 onward, accumulated across 130 starts in international and national sportscar series.[1]

His record across IMSA WeatherTech amounts to 56 starts with 5 wins and 14 podiums since 2014, making it his primary platform. In WEC, where he has raced since 2023, he holds 1 win and 5 podiums from 26 starts. Earlier in his career he competed in Formula Renault Eurocup, taking a single victory and five podiums across 37 starts from 2010 to 2012. He has also contested GT World Challenge Europe, the 24H Series, and Bathurst 12 Hour, adding a podium finish at Bathurst in 2024. Across all series his tally stands at 7 wins and 27 podiums. His current 2026 WEC season remains incomplete; he has taken one podium from six rounds and sits 13th in the championship standings.[2]

In IMSA WeatherTech, Riberas regularly races against Mathieu Jaminet, a Platinum-graded professional and champion of both the 2022 GTDPRO title and the 2025 GTP championship, with the pair closely matched across multiple meetings. He also competes consistently with Jack Hawksworth, a Gold-graded professional and 2023 GTDPRO champion, in similarly competitive fashion. Across his endurance racing career he has occasionally finished ahead of drivers of considerably greater standing elsewhere; he beat Alex Palou, a five-time IndyCar champion, once in a multiclass field, and Pierre Gasly, a Formula 1 driver and 2016 GP2 champion, in seven separate endurance races. He has spent significant time with Heart of Racing Team, appearing in 43 of his starts with an operation that has fielded 26 drivers and taken 44 race wins across its index record.
