🇩🇪 Stefan Mücke

Stefan Mücke is a professional endurance racing driver, FIA Gold graded, who spent his career in multiclass and single-class GT and sportscar championships across Europe and North America. He raced primarily for Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK in the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2012 to 2019, where he drove GTE cars, and made additional starts in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship, the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie in GT3 machinery, and the FIA GT Championship.[1]

Across 11 seasons and 84 starts between 2007 and 2019, Mücke took eight wins and 22 podiums. The bulk of his record came in the WEC, where he started 55 times for Ford Chip Ganassi and finished in the top half of the championship standings in his final season of 2019. His best results came in endurance racing where the field mixed professionals and semi-professionals sharing cars through long-distance events; his wins spanned the WEC and FIA GT Championship, with podiums distributed across the WEC, Nürburgring series and FIA GT Championship.[2]

Mücke's regular opponents at the front of the grid included Richard Lietz and Gianmaria Bruni, both Platinum-graded WEC champions with whom he was closely matched. He finished ahead of established professionals including António Félix da Costa, a Formula E and WEC LMP2 champion, on three occasions and Laurens Vanthoor, an IMSA champion and current WEC Hypercar title holder, four times over their shared starts.
