Andrew Gilbert-Scott is a professional driver who raced single-seater and endurance cars across six seasons from 1984 to 1997. He made 20 starts in International Formula 3000 for Roni Motorsport, six starts in Formula 3 Macau for Mike Rowe Racing, and seven starts in the FIA GT Championship for Gulf Team Davidoff, where he finished 18th in the championship standings in 1997.[1]
His record across these series came against fields mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. His single podium came in Formula 3000. He more often finished behind established professionals who shared his calendar; he was a regular opponent of both John Nielsen and Pierluigi Martini, an accomplished Formula 1 driver with 120 starts to his name, but usually trailed them both. He did beat Allan McNish on three occasions and Alessandro Nannini twice, both of them accomplished professionals with extensive careers at higher levels. BS Fabrications, a team that fielded 11 drivers and took four wins across the index, ran seven of his starts; the team's strongest driver was the established professional Christian Danner.[2]
