🇯🇵 Naoya Gamou

Naoya Gamou is an established professional racing in Super GT, a national Japanese multiclass endurance series, for K2 R&D Leon Racing. He drives a GT300-class car, a mix of FIA GT3 machinery and Japanese-built specials, sharing the cockpit across a season. Graded FIA Gold, the full professional tier in sportscar racing, Gamou has raced this series continuously since 2011 and holds two Super GT championships in the GT300 class, most recently in 2025.[1]

Across 94 starts in Super GT, Gamou has eight wins and 23 podiums. His 2018 title came with K2 R&D Leon Racing, the same team that has fielded him for the vast majority of his career. He has also competed in two national German endurance series, the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie in six starts across multiple classes and the Nürburgring 24 Hours in two starts, both with KCMG in turbocharged production-based and GT3 machinery. The 2026 Super GT season is still in progress; through four rounds he has taken one podium.[2]

Gamou's regular opponents in Super GT include Hiroki Yoshimoto, a Gold-graded professional, and Hideki Yamauchi, the 2021 GT300 champion, against whom he is closely matched. His record also includes finishes ahead of Sho Tsuboi, a five-time Super GT and Super Formula champion and five-time Platinum-graded professional, whom he has beaten nine times, and Alex Palou, the four-time IndyCar champion. Operating mid-field in a consistent championship field, Gamou has established himself as one of the series' proven competitors through sustained success with a single established team.
