🇯🇵 Toshihiro Kaneishi

Toshihiro Kaneishi is an established professional who raced in Japanese national motorsport at the highest tier. He spent the bulk of his career in Super GT, where he competed in the GT500 class in purpose-built cars for Keihin Real Racing from 2008 to 2014. His sole indexed outing in single-seater racing came in 2000, when he made three starts in Formula 3 Macau.[1]

Across his eight seasons on record Kaneishi took one win and thirteen podiums from fifty-nine starts. His career centred on Super GT, where he accumulated fifty-six starts and finished thirteenth in the championship standings in his final season, 2014. That year yielded one podium finish from eight rounds raced. His sole victory came within Super GT during this period with Keihin Real Racing, a team that fielded six drivers across the indexed record and counted the established professional Bertrand Baguette among its strongest competitors.[2]

Kaneishi raced regularly against the calibre of driver that defined the series. He was closely matched with Ronnie Quintarelli, a four-time Super GT GT500 champion, and with Hiroaki Ishiura, an FIA Platinum-graded professional. He finished ahead of Naoki Yamamoto, a two-time Super GT champion and Super Formula titlist, on sixteen occasions, and ahead of Yuhi Sekiguchi, the 2021 Super GT champion, nine times, though both drivers proved faster overall across their respective head-to-head records.
