🇬🇧 Louis Foster

Louis Foster is an established professional racing in single-seater open-wheel championships. He competes full-time in IndyCar for Rahal Letterman Ranigan Racing, where he races on a mixed schedule of ovals and road courses, and has made a start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Foster holds an FIA Silver grading, which places him below the full-professional Gold and Platinum grades but reflects progression through higher-level racing. His rating of 5,507 reflects an established professional at the middle tier of IndyCar's current grid.[1]

Foster won back-to-back championships in the Indy ladder series: the 2022 Indy Pro 2000 Championship with Exclusive Autosport, and the 2024 Indy NXT title with Andretti Global, where he took ten wins from 26 starts. Before that, he raced British and European single-seaters from 2019 onwards, winning six races in British F4 and three in both GB3 and Euroformula Open. His progression through the formulae followed a standard path to IndyCar: British junior categories, an international step in Euroformula Open, and then the American ladder. He has now completed two seasons in the IndyCar series proper, with 35 starts to his name. His 2026 campaign is ongoing and currently stands 36th in the championship with further rounds remaining.[2]

Foster races alongside established professionals and former series champions on the IndyCar grid. His regular competitors include Christian Rasmussen, a Gold-graded driver and two-time Indy NXT and Pro 2000 champion, and Nolan Siegel, another Gold-graded professional; Foster finishes closely matched with both across their head-to-head records. His best scalps in the series include multiple finishes ahead of Pato O'Ward, a two-time series champion with 124 IndyCar starts, and three wins over Alex Palou, the reigning five-time IndyCar champion. These results against the strongest drivers on the grid mark Foster's place in a highly competitive field.
