Dani Clos is a Spanish retired professional racing driver who competed primarily in single-seater categories between 2005 and 2013. He accumulated 113 starts across four racing series, posting 4 wins and 14 podium finishes. His primary competitive platform was the GP2 Series, where he contested 54 races from 2009 to 2013 with MP Motorsport, achieving 1 win and 9 podiums. Earlier in his career, Clos raced in the Formula Renault Eurocup from 2005 to 2006 with Jenzer Motorsport, recording 3 wins in 23 starts, and competed in the Formula 3 Euro Series during 2007 and 2008 for Prema Powerteam with 2 podium finishes across 33 races. He also participated briefly in the Formula V8 3.5 series in 2009.[1]
In 2012, Clos served as test driver for the now defunct HRT Formula One team, representing a peak point in his single-seater career. His final competitive season in traditional motorsport came in 2013 when he completed 9 rounds of GP2 Series competition, finishing 31st in the standings. Since his retirement from single-seater racing, Clos has been active in other racing ventures and subsequently became a YouTuber, while also competing in electric speedboat racing through the UIM E1 World Championship in recent years.[2]
