Alan Gjedsted is a developing driver competing in national amateur multiclass road racing across two series. He races Mazda Miatas in spec trim in NASA's Spec Miata class and SCCA Regionals' SMT class, both of which run production cars under standardised technical regulations. He has been active since 2010, with 52 starts across both championships.[1]

His record spans 16 seasons of indexed racing, most heavily in NASA with 31 starts since 2010. He took his first podium finish in SCCA Regionals competition. This season, in 2026, he sits 41st in the SCCA Regionals championship standings after two rounds raced so far, with the season still in progress.[2]

He races in fields that mix amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals, though his own record sits at the developing end of that spectrum. He finishes regularly behind Greg Hoff, a competitive amateur with over 100 SCCA Regionals starts, and runs closely matched with Tony Senese, another developing-level driver.
