Andres Prieto is a semi-professional driver who raced in American club and regional motorsport from 2020 to 2024. Competing primarily in NASA's Spec Miata class and SCCA Regionals, he drove Mazda MX-5 Miatas in single-driver sprint racing across multiclass fields that mixed amateurs with graded professionals. He holds an FIA Bronze rating, the amateur grade in endurance and sportscar racing.[1]

Over five seasons Prieto accumulated 80 starts and 31 podiums, including three wins. His largest body of work came in NASA, where he made 70 starts between 2020 and 2024 and took 26 podiums and two wins. He also raced SCCA Regionals in 2022 and 2023, recording one win and five podiums from eight starts, and competed in NASA Spec MX-5 twice in 2022. In his most recent indexed activity, the 2023 SCCA Regionals season, he scored one podium across two rounds raced.[2]

Prieto finished ahead of two professional drivers: Dean Thompson, who has raced 70 NASCAR Truck events and 63 NASCAR Xfinity races, and Kyle Kaiser, an FIA Gold driver and 2017 Indy NXT champion with six IndyCar starts. His regular opposition in NASA came from developing-level drivers Tony Senese and Laura Braverman, whom he typically outpaced. His record reflects consistent mid-field performance in amateur and semi-professional club racing, where he competed against other amateurs and occasional professionals sharing the same track.
