Couch is an entry-level professional racing spec Mazda Miatas in NASA's multiclass national championship, where he competes in both the Spec E46 and Spec Miata classes alongside amateurs and semi-professionals. He has raced for nine seasons and holds championships in NASA (2022) and SCCA Regionals (2023).[1]
Across 144 career starts, Couch has taken 68 wins and 99 podiums in four series. His record centres on NASA, where he has 109 starts, 50 wins and 74 podiums in the Spec E46 BMW class and Spec Miata class. He has also raced SCCA's multiclass regional and major championships in Spec Miata machinery, winning 7 of 14 starts at Regionals and 6 of 13 at Majors. He won both his Spec MX-5 Challenge starts in 2023 and competed in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup in 2024, finishing 27th in the championship standings across two rounds with Saito Motorsport Group.[2]

He has beaten established professionals in single meetings; he finished ahead of Aaron Jeansonne, a professional with 56 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup starts and credentials in Porsche Carrera Cup NA, on seven occasions. In a recent NASA outing at Sonoma, he took both wins in a 25-car Spec Miata field.
